I am officially finished with school for the year! To celebrate I'm posting my first mixtape in a while. I'm not entirely sure how much time I'll spend blogging this summer, but leaving Tallahassee definitely marks more than a few changes for me. As such, over the next few days I will also be posting lists of my favorite songs and albums of the year so far. Spoiler alert: 8 of my 15 favorite songs are on this playlist. Oh and by the way, little dude on the left is my dad.
My Buddy Andrew (Who's Ginormous CD collection is one of the main reasons I'm not stil listening to Breaking Benjamin and Nickleback) very recently had a birthday! I told him I'd give a mix CD for his birfday but of course I don't have any blank CDs! Since this is going to be transfered to a CD, and because I didn't post a mix last week this one is 80ish minutes instead of 40 like I said they would start being. Like I've mentioned in my last 2 posts I have a ton of homework I should be doing right now so no Individual MP3s (at least for the moment) but several of those songs I've posted about before or aren't new.
Tl;Dr? Mixtapes are going to be around 40 minutes from now on instead of 80 minutes. As always, mp3s below or grab the zip of the whole thing here. (Update: I forgot to put the .zip in order this week so check below for the order if you care)
I've never seen Leprechaun in space, but I've seen Leprechaun 2 so if thats any indication, Leprechaun in space isn't as great as this mixtape is! I didn't really intend it to be, but the whole middle section of the mix is pretty much a tribute to Jay Reatard. Theres 3 songs by Jay himself and a whole bunch of songs I probably would never have gotten into if Jay's music hadn't reminded me that theres still good punk music out there. Man I miss hearing new music from that guy!
I promised a sequel to "the end of summer mixtape" and here it is! Once again, its a .zip file so just click here, click the download button, find where you saved the download, right click the file and click "unzip." If those directions confused you, well then google it. The mixtape pretty much goes folk -> dream pop and ends with Sufjan's newest song and Albatross, one of the best songs I've heard this year. No individual mp3s this time, I'm just too lazy.

Anyways, the zip probably has all the songs out of order, but heres the order I've been listening to them in. It flows pretty well from typical acoustic indie to afropop to chillwave.
