Blackbird Blackbird - Give You Everything

A friend of mine recently told me that he's tired of every band having that "beach sound." Honestly though, in February right after walking back from class in the rain and eating lunch by myself, I really don't mind a boost of sunshine. Theres no denying this will sound great on the beach, but Blackbird Blackbird (along with several other contemporaries) seem to be moving away from a nostalgia-heavy aesthetic by throwing in live instrumentation and pushing vocals higher in the mix. More than anything else, "Give You Everything" sounds confident, and confidence is a seriously under-appreciated trait in music at the moment.

Its the weekend.

Purity Ring's Ungirthed is recieving some very deserved attention from p4k.

I haven't posted a mixtape in far too long.

I think its time to celebrate the first two and change the third one. I literally made this mixtape 10 minutes ago, so sequencing isn't a big deal, and its significantly shorter than usual. Hopefully you won't feel too ripped off with 25 minutes of music instead of 40. Enjoy!

Not much to say for this one, the opening track says it all! This mixtape was originally going to be just Dance Yrself Clean and a bunch of remixes, but then I realized no one is ever going to make a Dynamite remix better than the original. After that I just started slacking off and threw in some favorites that get me(and hopefully you) moving. GET IT
