I just scoped these tracks on No Modest Bear and was blown away. I don't have much info on Youth Lagoon at the moment, but I know that Trevor Powers of Boise, Idaho (hey Grandpa Frank!) is behind the project that currently has one finished album waiting to be released. According to NMB, "The Year of Hibernation" will be released sometime in the future on BIRP's new record label, Juno Beach Records. Both tracks have that beat-heavy, piano-based homespun feel to them that I've been really into lately. July's vocal outcry and downpour of piano chords hit me like a ton of bricks.
