Happy Trendy - Losing it (live)

When Dylan played "Losing It" during my tinychat show, I well... lost it. It was the first moment of the night where I actually forgot the whole thing was going on over the internet and I just listened to the music. If you missed the tinychat show, don't fret, Jon Casey's live footage is (visually at least) a million times better than the tinychat stream.

4/13/11 TINYCHAT SHOW

Hey everybody! I'm organizing a Tinychat show next Wednesday at around 8pm EC. To make things easier I'm going to keep all the details in one place, so head on over to the facebook event.

Happy Trendy - Losing it

A dance worthy beat (complete with hand clap) propels the track, and halfway through the song the bass just send the whole thing skyward. Dylan's trademark deadpan vocals come in, but on this track it enters an unusually emotive territory. The morphine sipping synth line somehow sounds like smiling flare and even the ghosts that let "Losing It" escape can't drag the track back into void.
